What are the benefits of gaining a qualification?

All qualifications we offer are fully accredited, Ofqual regulated and industry approved.

How do I study the course?

We understand most learners need to complete the course outside of standard working hours, to accommodate this, we provide all our accredited qualifications via online and supported distance learning. By studying online, you can access your course at any time by logging on to the DLC Learning Hub, without needing to travel.

I haven’t studied for a long time - how will DLC Training support me?

Making the great decision to get back into studying after a long break away doesn’t need to be daunting! No matter how long it’s been, DLC Training will provide you with the necessary support and guidance to ensure you work through your course successfully.

When studying with DLC Training you will be allocated your own study support advisor and tutor, who will be available to provide guidance throughout your studies. Should you have any questions about a topic you are studying, an assignment, or even if you’re just in need of some reassurance, your study support advisor and tutor will be more than happy to give you a helping hand.

How do I speak with my tutor?

You can speak with your tutor via telephone, video call, email, or via the messenger system on the DLC Learning Hub. A call with your tutor can be arranged as and when you require, via the online calendar or your study support advisor.

How long do I have to complete my course?

The duration of the study support package provided with your course is dependent upon the level you have selected. We understand most of our learners are studying around their working schedules and busy lifestyles, for this reason we provide a support duration which is based on as little as 2-3 hours of studying per week. As the courses are flexible, you can complete the course in a timeframe which suits you.

Should a situation occur which is going to put you off track from completing your course within the support duration, you can place your course on hold or extend your support duration for a small fee. You can discuss this with your study support advisor at any time.

How do I sit my exams?

You will sit your exams in a local CIPS exam centre, you can find your closest centres here: https://www.cips.org/en-gb/learn/student-zone/find-a-centre/.  Your study support advisor will be happy to assist you with booking exams when you’re ready.

Exam sessions take place in March, May, July and November each year.

What study resources do I receive?

You will receive the official CIPS study ebooks for each unit you study. You will also receive access to additional DLC Training resources, including revision guidance, practice questions, and useful resources to guide you in the workplace.

How do I register to take a CIPS exam?

To register for an upcoming exam session, you can contact your study support advisor who will assist you with this. The registration window for CIPS exams is well in advance of the exam session, it is important you are enrolled onto your course at least 3 months before the first exam session you plan to take, to ensure you don’t miss the cut off.

Why do I need CIPS Membership?

You need to have an active CIPS membership to complete your exams that go towards your overall qualification. As well as this, CIPS provide a wide range of useful resources to support with your development as a procurement professional.

What will the exams look like?

Depending on the level you study, you will need to complete several objective and constructive response exams. Objective response consists of multiple-choice questions, this requires you to select the correct answer from several different answers. You are required to achieve 70% or above to pass. Constructive response consists of essay type questions where you must formulate an answer. You must achieve 50% or over to pass. Constructive response exams are graded:

50% – Pass

60% – Merit

75% – Distinction
